About Paul Nearney

Paul designs, architects and develops solutions on the Microsoft platform, and has been doing so since 1997. He stepped into the Unified Communications world in 2008, to create Active Compliance and Billing solutions for a well known collaboration and messaging service in the financial services industry. The service is still used today by over 300,000 professionals from the world’s top financial institutions.

Intrigued by the possibilities of Unified Communications to transform business processes, Paul joined a start-up company specializing in Microsoft Unified Communications, with the aim of establishing a development consultancy practice alongside the existing infrastructure consultancy (today, that company is the worlds largest dedicated Microsoft communications practice). Over the next ten years, Paul built and led a world class software development team, delivering numerous custom development projects and products for some of the world’s largest organizations.

Paul established Chimu Software in 2018 to assist organizations looking to maximize their investment in the Microsoft Teams platform.
